Project X
I'm finally back on the blog a month later. I'm sure you've all been anxiously awaiting my next post. Well, I saved it up for something good. I present to you Project X. Now, I know what some of you are thinking, and no, it's not a dishwasher. It is none other than the Univega Gran Turismo touring frame I got free from the swap in Madison a few years ago. I finally rounded up a deserving fork for it earlier this year at the Recyclist in Kaukauna. I also traded one of my very own hand built wheels to the bro in exchange for the Shimano road wheel you see here. Everything else is a hodge podge of parts I had laying around. It's currently operating in true dirt jumping style with a single speed drivetrain and a single rear brake because let's face it, this thing has some nice relaxed geometry for ripping up the local jumps. I'm planning to get some nicer canti's and some cross tires for it as well as a different seat and post in the near future.
